Church of St. Spyridon
It is a single-naved church with a dome and was built in 1702. The first Greek Governor I. Kapodistrias was assassinated here in 1831. One of the two assassins was chased and lynched by the furious crowd. At the small square there are two Turkish fountains from the 18th century.
National Gallery - Nafplio annex
A 1905 neo-classical building that served as a residence, a hospital, a clinic, a military headquarters and finally a tavern. Since 2004 it houses the Nafplio National Gallery Annex.
Bastion “Pente Adelfia” (Five Brothers)
It owes its name to the five cannons that defended Nafplio in the west in combination with Bourtzi and was constructed by Venetians in the late 15th century.
Catholic Church of Metamorphosis tou Sotiros
Transfiguration of the Saviour.
It is known as Francoklisia and was given to the Catholic Church in 1839. Inside there is a painting of the Sagrada Familia (Holy Family), copy of the work of the Italian Renaissance painter Raphael. It is used since 1839 to present day without interruption.
